Vice President Academic – Metropolitan Undergraduate Engineering Society (MUES)
As Vice President Academic for MUES, I represent over 5,000 undergraduate engineering students at Toronto Metropolitan University. I lead initiatives to improve academic support by creating centralized systems for study hall planning, coordinating exam resources, and collaborating with course unions and faculty. These efforts have reduced overlap, saved resources, and ensured students have better access to academic help. This role has strengthened my skills in leadership, project management, and advocacy while teaching me how to deliver large-scale impact within a diverse student community.
Mechanical Director – Metropolitan Undergraduate Engineering Society (MUES)
Before becoming Vice President Academic, I served as Mechanical Director for MUES. In this position, I coordinated academic and community support initiatives for mechanical engineering students, bridging communication between students, faculty, and the course union. My work focused on strengthening academic programming, supporting peers with course-specific challenges, and representing the interests of mechanical engineering students within the broader society. This experience helped me build leadership skills and prepared me to take on the larger responsibilities of Vice President Academic.
First-Year Ambassador – First Year Engineering Office (FYEO)
As a First-Year Ambassador, I supported incoming students in transitioning to university life. I provided academic guidance, shared insights about engineering programs, and helped run engagement events that built community among first-year students. Through this role, I developed mentorship and communication skills while learning how to connect with and support peers from different backgrounds.
TMU Formula Racing – Mechanical Systems Team Member
On the Formula SAE team, I contribute to the design, assembly, and integration of mechanical subsystems for a formula-style race car. My work includes CAD modeling of custom components, assisting with suspension and drivetrain assembly, and supporting system troubleshooting during testing. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team has given me valuable experience in applying theory to practice, working under deadlines, and leading small design tasks within a larger engineering project.
